47 Meters Down Sequel Debuts Teaser Trailer

47 Meters Down wasn’t exactly anything new, but it was considered a solid survival horror film and managed to make $61.7 million at the box office on a mere $5.5 million budget. So no surprise a sequel was immediately greenlit. It was originally titled 48 Meters Down, but for some reason it’s now titled 47 Meters Down: The Next Chapter (Really?). The upcoming sequel carries the same behind-the-scenes crew, directed by Johannes Roberts who once again wrote the script with Ernest Riera. The synopsis is as follows:

Five backpackers go diving in a ruined underwater city and quickly learn they are not alone in the submerged caves.

While the film won’t be released until June 29, 2019, the film already has a teaser trailer that has been released today. Check it out below:
