Killing Eve was a big surprise for audiences. Taking a seemingly tired concept of a cat-and-mouse chase between a spy and a assassin, the BBC America/AMC production saw the titular character Eve (Played by Sandra Oh), an MI6 operative, develop an obsession with the psyche of assassin Villanelle (Played by Jodie Comer) as Eve hunted her across Europe. The first season ended in a way that left fans ready for a season two, which Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks, has amped up with the following quote:
Killing Eve is picking up exactly 36 heart-thumping seconds after the events of the season finale. This new season is packed with superlative performances and is as twisty, subversive, darkly funny, nerve-wracking and pleasurable as our fans could desire.
After the first season was a critical and commercial success, fans are probably going to be very happy to hear the second season will premiere sooner than expected, planned for a release on Sunday, April 7 at 8pm on BBC America. Hopefully, season 2 will not disappoint and keep it’s fresh take on the spy genre consistent. Stay tuned!
