Cinemax’s Warrior TV Series Debuts Official Trailer & Two New Posters

It’s admittedly intriguing what Warrior might offer as a show just based on the origin of the show’s idea. Bruce Lee was developing the idea around the time of his death and was deeply invested in the concept. Now, his daughter Shannon (His only surviving child) will serve as an executive producer on the show that will attempt to tell the tale that her father wanted so badly to bring to television. The synopsis is as follows:

Set at the times of the Tong Wars in the late 1800’s in San Francisco, California. The series follows Ah Sahm, a martial arts prodigy originating from China who immigrates to San Francisco and ends up becoming a hatchet man for the most powerful tong in Chinatown.

The project has been in development for almost two years and will see Banshee series creator Jonathan Tropper bringing that shows bloody brutality to this show along with film director Justin Lin, known for his high-octane style that he brought to four Fast & Furious films. Judging by the first official trailer for the show…the combination just might be crazy enough to work. Check it out below:

Warrior will premiere on Cinemax sometime this year. In addition, check out two new posters released for the show below:
