Designated Survivor Renewed for Season 3 on Netflix

For those that were hoping that Kiefer Sutherland might return to 24 will sadly have to be disappointed. His show Designated Survivor, which had been cancelled on ABC after two seasons, has been officially picked up by Netflix for a short 10-episode third season.

Neal Baer will join the series as showrunner and will see President Kirkman (Played by Sutherland) facing the political reality of campaigning. The season is said to explore today’s world of campaigning.

Production is set to begin later this year for a 2019 launch, but for fans of the show the first two seasons will arrive on Netflix in the United States this Fall. Stay tuned!
