Glass Estimated for $70 Million Opening

There are a lot of people who didn’t seem to grasp how much of a comeback Split was for M. Night Shyamalan. Not only did it get strong reviews (And the best for film by Shyamalan in years), but the film made an incredible $278 million on a mere $9 million. And that was with a $40 million opening weekend. So please imagine, if you will, what the follow-up Glass will make when, just a couple weeks away from it’s January 11th release date, it’s estimated to open between $70 and $75 million domestically. These were the numbers being thrown around today and although a couple box office analysts estimate a tamer $50 million, there is no denying the $20 million budgeted sequel will be making bank.

Glass stars Bruce Willis, James McAvoy, Samuel L. Jackson, Spencer Treat Clark, Charlayne Woodard, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Sarah Paulson. It is set to hit theaters January 18, 2019.
