Halloween Projected for Massive Opening Weekend

For those who wonder why franchises keep getting continued and rebooted…this right here is why. The new Halloween installment, set for a release on October 19th, is tracking a domestic opening weekend of $50-$85 million…on a $10 million budget! With that in mind, the film will already be a massive hit by the end of it’s opening weekend.

At least fans are expected to get a great installment with the film currently standing at 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the second highest-rated installment of the franchise behind, you guessed it, the original 1978 film which has a 93% currently. No other installment has ever gotten that close to the original with the closest being 1998’s Halloween: H20…which carries an RT score of 52%. Hopefully, everyone gets something out of what is looking like a brilliant and terrifying return of Michael Myers.

Halloween stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Nick Castle, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner. It is directed by David Gordon Green (Who co-wrote the script with Danny McBride). It is set to hit theaters October 19th.
