Marvel’s Avengers Video Game Debuts Official E3 Trailer

For some time, it’s been known that Square Enix was set to make an Avengers video game. Now, at E3, that have finally released the first official trailer for Marvel’s Avengers, the single-player and co-operative gameplay title developed by Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, Nixxes Software, and Crystal Northwest.

The story is set around a catastrophic accident that happens on A-Day, a day of celebration where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a new Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco – including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband, but, five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Check out the official E3 trailer below:

As you can see, players will be able to master the extraordinary abilities of each Avenger, customize a growing roster of Heroes, assemble into teams of up to four players, and defend the Earth from escalating threats. Even better, all post-launch content for the game will be free for all players, including new characters (like Ant-Man) and areas of play.

Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on May 15, 2020. Stay tuned!
