Mary Queen of Scots Debuts Trailer #1 & Two Character Posters

There are some movies…clearly made for award season. Mary Queen of Scots is definitely one of them but that doesn’t mean it won’t offer an excellent character study of the historical conflict between Mary, Queen of Scotland, and her cousin Queen Elizabeth I of England. Especially when it has the likes of Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, respectively, playing these roles. Today, the first trailer released for the film demonstrates what happens when you have strong leads and a strong story set-up. Check it out below:

Mary Queen of Scots co-stars Jack Lowden, David Tennant, Martin Compston, Joe Alwyn, Brendan Coyle, and Guy Pearce. It is directed by Josie Rourke. It is set to hit theaters in the US on December 7th this year, followed by a release in the UK on January 18, 2019.
