Netflix’s Apostle Debuts Trailer #1

When we first heard about Welsh director Gareth Evans, for most of us it was for his action films Merantau and The Raid (Along with The Raid 2) that introduced the world to the Indonesian martial art style pencak silat. Now, Evans looks to extend his profile to other genres, enter his new horror film Apostle, a film he also wrote the script for. A film whose first trailer genuine sends a chill down your spine. The synopsis is as follows:

The year is 1905. Thomas Richardson (Played by Dan Stevens) travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she’s kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return. It soon becomes clear that the cult will rue the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built.

Apostle co-stars Lucy Boynton, Mark Lewis Jones, Bill Milner, Kristine Froseth and Michael Sheen. It is set to be released on Netflix on October 12th. Check out the new trailer for the film below:
