While the first half of first season has so far received some mediocre reviews, Netflix’s Disenchantment seems to have gathered an audience with the second half set to conclude the show’s first season next year. And apparently, the new show by Simpsons creator Matt Groening will not end there for today it was announced Disenchantment will return to the streaming service for a second season. It will also follow the pattern of the first season, being broken into two 10-episode releases, scheduled for 2020 and 2021. Groening himself spoke about the renewal in an interview today:
We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix. Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off.
Hopefully Groening can continue to improve the show and it will be around for a long time. Stay tuned!
