The science fiction film Extinction was all set to hit theaters January 26th…this year. Then, Universal Pictures dropped it from their release schedule and it was announced on February 8th that the film would instead be released Netflix. Not a good sign is it? The synopsis if as follows:
A father has a recurring dream of losing his family. His nightmare turns into reality when the planet is invaded by a force bent on destruction. Fighting for their lives, he comes to realize an unknown strength to keep them safe from harm.
All that’s known is the film will hit the streaming service sometime later this year, but for now check out the first trailer for the film below:
Extinction stars Lizzy Caplan, Michael Peña, Mike Colter, Lilly Aspell, Emma Booth, Israel Broussard, and Lex Shrapnel. It is directed by Ben Young.
