Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Debuts Official Trailer

Early reviews at Cannes are calling Once Upon a Time in Hollywood a masterpiece, which probably will relief a lot of people. Course some major failures disappointed after supposedly being critically acclaimed at the festival in the last few years. Birth of a Nation, mother!, etc. The sensibilities of cinema are so vast now we’ll hear some people say it’s a masterpiece and others an atrocity. Personally? I think this will be writer/director Quentin Tarantino’s greatest work since Pulp Fiction. A return to a very contemplative thought process that Tarantino explored more in his earlier works than his later, more violent revenge thrillers.

It just be nice to see one of his movies end with something like the famous diner scene in Pulp Fiction or the contemplative final conversation between Bill and Beatrix in Kill Bill Vol. 2. Judging by the new official trailer, that might be exactly what he’s shooting for. Where the lead character will be forced to look into the mirror and ask “What the heck am I doing?”. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set to hit theaters July 26th.
