While actor Robert Patrick has never recaptured the dizzying heights of fame he had as the indestructible antagonist T-1000 in the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but he’s managed to gain continuing work on television with his work in shows like The X-Files where he played John Doggett for seasons 8 and 9 from 2000 to 2002. He recently finished starring as Agent Cabe Gallo on the hit CBS show Scorpion which was cancelled earlier this year after four season. But Patrick has always managed to keep himself out there in film as well and today was announced to be in talks to join Liam Neeson and Kate Walsh in the action thriller Honest Thief.
The film is directed by Mark Williams, who co-wrote the script with Steve Allrich. Williams previously worked as a writer on shows like Netflix’s Ozark. Williams seems to be really pushing himself forward creatively as he is also co-producing the film with Tai Duncan, Myles Nestel, and Craig Chapman.
Liam Neeson stars in the film as a career bank robber character who meets the love of his life, set to be played by Kate Walsh. Walsh’s character is an employee at a storage facility where Neeson’s character hid $7 million in stolen loot. After they fall head over heels for each other, he resolves to wipe the slate clean by turning himself in. If Patrick gets cast, he will play the role of a crooked FBI agent who interference leads to events of the film becoming far more dangerous and difficult.
Jeffrey Donovan, Jai Courtney, and Anthony Ramos are set to co-star in the film. Stay tuned!
