Since the last two each made over $1 billion at the box office, the fact third Jurassic World is set for release on June 11, 2021 is not surprising at all. What is surprising is a short film being release that seems to serve as a lead-in to it, in fact directed and co-written by the third film’s director Colin Trevorrow, who also directed the commercially successful first film in 2015.
Titled Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock, the short takes place one year after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, set in Big Rock National Park and where dinosaurs are now living in our world. The story follows a family of four who encounter dinosaurs in the park and it becomes a terrifying fight for survival.
Today, the short has come online for everyone to see, clocking in at around eight minutes. Check it out below:
Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock was co-written by Emily Carmichael.
