Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Debuts Trailer #2 & New Poster

At this point, you’re probably tired of Spider-Man. He’s in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he has a couple animated shows lying around somewhere, and there was recently a video game for the character released. How much more can you take of one property? I will say this though, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the standalone computer animated film coming this holiday season, at least offers a different tone. Embracing the comic book art styles and embracing the idea of a multiverse, the new film looks to entertain without necessarily setting up a franchise. Instead, it’s just a cool concept, utilizing hand-drawn techniques that fuse with the computer animation to create a unique art style that emulates the multitude of comic books from which the film takes it’s inspiration. The new trailer embraces the idea of just how expansive the Spider-Man mythology has gotten. Check it out below:

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Lily Tomlin. It is co-directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman. It is set to hit theaters December 14, 2018. In addition, check out a new poster for the film below:
