It’s been 25 years since we last saw Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the hit show Star Trek: The Next Generation and 17 since we last saw him at all in the 2002 film Star Trek: Nemesis. So when Patrick Stewart announced his return to the character for a new show centered on Picard in his old age (Taking place two decades after the events of The Next Generation), many fans who found themselves disillusioned with Star Trek: Discovery got excited beyond belief. The show is expected to premiere on CBS All Access sometime later this year but it’s now been confirmed the show will be called Star Trek: Picard. Check out the title card for the show below that was released today on the show’s official Twitter:
#StarTrek: Picard will stream exclusively on @CBSAllAccess in the United States, on Amazon #PrimeVideo in more than 200 countries and territories and in Canada on Bell Media’s @SpaceChannel and OTT service @CraveCanada. @StarTrekCBS @primevideouk https://t.co/f3mVPY449M pic.twitter.com/iDrmtDiQLg
