Star Wars: The Clone Wars Revival Debuts Official Trailer

When news came that the cult classic CG animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars would be returning with twelve all-new episodes. The series ran for five broadcast seasons on Cartoon Network before being cancelled on a cliffhanger. After that, post-Season Five episodes released as “The Lost Missions” was released a few years after on Netflix. Based on what you consider “The Lost Missions” to be, the upcoming episodes can be marked as season 6 or season 7.

Recently, The Clone Wars was taken down from Netflix and will be available on Disney’s new Disney+ streaming service within the first year it comes online (Set to kick off November 12th of this year). The new season will follow suite although no exact premiere date for the new episodes has been announced. Check out the new trailer for the revival below:

As you can see, the new season will include the return of Anakin Skywalker and his apprentice Ahsoka Tano who went off on her own, spending time in Coruscant’s underworld, but will find her way back to help the Jedi. Darth Maul looks set to return as well.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a show that has unfinished business for fans. Hopefully, it’s old business worth coming back to. Stay tuned!
