Geoffrey Rush is hands down one of the finest actors around in this or any other age. So when he decides to work in a film, you take notice, even if his co-star is Jai Courtney who has yet to have a good film to his name. The film in question is the second adaptation of author Colin Thiele’s 1964 novella Storm Boy (The first was an acclaimed film from 1976). The synopsis is as follows:
Storm Boy follows a young boy growing up on largely uninhabited coastline of Southern Australia. He rescues three orphan pelicans and forms a close bond with the three.
Storm Boy is directed by Shawn Seet. So far, it’s only confirmed release date is for Australia in January 2019. Check out the new trailer for the film below:
