The Dead Don’t Die Debuts Red Band “Kill The Head” Trailer

Director Jim Jarmusch has covered an expansive and sporadic array of genres ranging from the 1995 Western film Dead Man to the 1999 crime film Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai to the 2005 comedy-drama Broken Flowers. His more recent films have included the 2013 vampire love story Only Lovers Left Alive and the 2016 drama Paterson. Now, Jarmusch looks to call in all his former stars for the The Dead Don’t Die, a zombie comedy that looks to reinvent the concept, despite a rather standard synopsis for such a film:

In a peaceful, small town, zombies suddenly rise from their graves, terrorizing the citizens. Three bespectacled police officers and a strange Scottish mortician with a love for drag makeup and sword fighting must band together to try and stay alive. The road to survival, however, may be a dead end.

Today, a red band “Kill The Head” trailer has been released for the film that adds some texture to the synopsis and shows Jarmusch may have something unique after all:

The Dead Don’t Die stars Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Selena Gomez, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Austin Butler, RZA, Tilda Swinton, Tom Waits, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, and Carol Kane. It is set to hit theaters June 14th.
