The Hunt Debuts Faux Advertisement & First Poster

It’s unfortunate that people think of twisted “People hunting people” film scenarios, they only can think of The Hunger Games and The Purge. This is a concept that’s been around for some time, the earliest, most popular example being author Richard Connell’s short story The Most Dangerous Game. Heck, John Woo’s first Hollywood directorial effort Hard Target did something similar on film in 1993. So The Hunt isn’t anything new. Perhaps one might argue it’s Connell’s story mixed with Eli Roth’s Hostel films. The synopsis is as follows:

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen – for a very specific purpose – The Hunt.

Today, a faux advertisement for in-film sporting event has been released as a teaser for the film. Check it out below:

The Hunt stars Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, Hilary Swank, Glenn Howerton, Ike Barinholtz, Betty Gilpin, and Amy Madigan. It is directed by Craig Zobel and is set to hit theaters September 27th. In addition, check out the first poster for the film below:
