Richard Linklater may have a pretty good consistency but there might be something up with Where’d You Go, Bernadette. Based on the 2012 novel of the same name by author Maria Semple and following a 15-year old girl trying to find out what happened to her mother who mysteriously disappeared, filming for the picture originally was back in the middle of 2017. It’s original release date was planned for a May 11, 2018 release. This was then pushed back to October 19, 2018. It was then pushed back again to March 22, 2019. Now a release date shift is not necessarily a sign of a film being bad, but the first trailer released today makes it appear to be a pretty generic feel-good film so it makes you wonder…is there something up with Bernadette? Check out the trailer below:
Where’d You Go, Bernadette stars Cate Blanchett, Billy Crudup, Emma Nelson, Kristen Wiig, Judy Greer, Laurence Fishburne, Troian Bellisario, and James Urbaniak.
